Day 24/365 (Finally!)

When I last ran for the Green Party in 2008, I started a mashup video that combined a couple of documentaries into a 10 minute video...a kind of extended trailer that spelled out the current state of things, and where they are going.

I never published it, or even really completed the video, until today.

  1. Rich,

Absolutely FANTASTIC blog today! It brings to mind a video I just watched a few days ago, “Six Degrees That Could Change the World”. It brings to light how we will not do anything to save the world because monetary gain at this time is greater than the concern for the environment, or the planet. Scientists are talking about the decline of the planet, yet, no one is listening. I also think that when it comes to the planet that the grandchildren of our grandchildren will have to deal with, for us right now, the common stance seems to be clouded by what I would call ‘Out of sight, out of mind’ as the environment five generations from now, we don’t apparently give a damn about. Right now, there is money to be made. Money is the reason we do not have freedom (but that’s a different discussion). By the looks of it, we are going to run this planet into the ground, before any change will be made to save it that goes against monetary gain. Michael Moore said people will watch his video and some will get up and do something about it, but quite honestly, one man alone, here and there, speaking alone, trying to do something about it, is not going to be successful. Everyone needs to come together to do this and have one tremendous voice heard. Hopefully this comes soon enough, before it’s too late for the planet.

  2. Thanks for the kind words :-)

One of the reasons I made the video is to also remind people that the issues we're facing TODAY isn't exactly news, either...much like how RFK was talking about the problems of polution back in the 50's/60's.

...basically, I say that we won't have real Freedom until we can have society that requires no Laws to keep Order.
