  1. Fan of progress or activist?
    When it comes to campaigning for change, I think there are three different circumstances:

    1)where you'd like to make change or progress and you continue working on it until eventually you are heard. There is not necessarily any time period involved. Good communication with those that can control the change is had.

    2) where you'd like to make change, there is no time period involved, and you make a more belligerent (and sometimes annoying) approach to get noticed; a more aggressive approach.

    2)where you are under a dead line, (eg. governmental body enforcing certain change at a soon approaching date or change already happened suddenly without any advance notice). Your actions become more like those in 2) except there is also urgency involved which makes this scenario appear even more drastic.

    I think I would call 1) fan of progress, and 2) and 3) activism.
